Ellis Residence

The FSC-certified products highlight the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape and represent the home-owners’ ideals of making sustainable and ethical choices for their dwelling.

FondAction BuildingCommercial Winner:
FondAction Building Quebec

The structure of this six-floor, 60,000 ft2 office building is composed entirely of FSC-certified glued-laminated wood. Having substituted wood for the more typical steel and concrete structure, the FondAction building is now the tallest wood structure building in North America.

Portola Valley Town CenterCommercial Honorable Mention:
Portola Valley Town Center

All of the wood used in the Portola Valley Town Center buildings, with the exception of some engineered wood products, is either FSC-certified, salvaged, or locally harvested. The town center features wood as both a structural and finish material, creating warm, rich interiors and providing a clear link to the town’s history and geographic location.
