PROCESS

FSC-US is now responsible for collecting and reviewing all membership application materials and for recommending U.S.-based applicants for membership to FSC. Please make sure to send all membership materials to FSC-US. Once your application is approved by FSC, and membership has been granted, FSC will contact you. FSC will also handle membership dues upon approval of membership.

REQUIREMENTS

The following documents should be included, as applicable, with the application materials you submit to FSC-US. All materials can be downloaded from this page.

  1. Application Form (for all members)
    Fill out the Application Form in its entirety
  2. Two letters of support issued by FSC Members (for all members)

    If you need assistance in identifying current FSC members to provide letters of support, please contact FSC-US at the contact information below.
  3. Organizational Statutes or Articles of Incorporation (for organizational members)
    For non-profit organizations, please include a copy of your 501(c)3 letter of determination
  4. Annual Report (for organizational members)
  5. Publicly available financial information (for organizational members)
  6. List of Board of Directors and their affiliations (for organizational members)
  7. Information on commercial activities and forest operations (for economic chamber members and where applicable)
  8. Optional — other information showing the aims of you or your organization (reports, history, newsletters, or brochures)

ADDITIONAL Requirements for the Economic Chamber:

We ask that landowners and wood products businesses make a commitment to become an FSC Certificate Holder within 2 years. This commitment is included in the application form.
